Nettie's 23rd Annual WIiches Ball

Come one and all to Nettie's 23rd Annual Witches Ball and sale!. We are so excited for you to see all the new and wonderful witches. They are so anxious to meet you and dance their way into you heart! Nettie's show dates are as follows"
Tuesday Oct 13th 6 til 10 pm.
Wed- Firday Oct 14th-17th 10am-7pm
411 East 400 North
Springville, Utah
I
know it's a weird day to start a show, so make sure you check the date carefully. I had some ladies come all the way from St. George last year and missed it cause they assumed it started on a weekend!
It's easy to find! Take the one and only springville exit that is open that will take you into town. Don't get off on the Walmart exit (it's technicaly open, but only to the business area around walmart.) You will literally never make another turn! Off the freeway and drive straight to Netties. You get off the freeway, go thru the light at athe Chevron /McDonals station, go thru the neighborhood, and follow the road down to the stop sign, and my 1880's home is right there!. I'm on the corner of 4th East and 4th North in Springville. I have no signs posted around the town, as it is against the Springville's sign ordinance. So I am sorry about that. But I am ready and waiting for all of you to see what we have! You will love them!
I accept cash, checks and all the major credit cards, and your firstborn child if you want creative financing. I can't wait to see you all at the ball! We'll have some treats and alot of fun!
If you want an extra discount for my Christmas show in early December, you have to dress in costume for opening night!

Jeni Gochnour- Jenibee

I found a gourd years ago and have felt like it was a match made in heaven. (A gourd is a name given to a hollow, dried shell of fruit, generally, used more for utilitarian uses and once dried will last forever.) I don’t usually open-up my gourds so you can still hear the seeds inside them. I love that. Each gourd has it’s own personality and I love discovering who they are and painting it out for all to see. Every one of my pieces is unique and different because there is not one gourd that is exactly like another.

Cheryl and Rachel- Provident Peacock

We discovered a mutual love for photography and sharing our vision of the beauty in our world. Our cameras are with us practically wherever we go! We've been known to find interesting photo opps just about anywhere: downtown, on beaches, off the side of the road, in farmers' markets, temple grounds, malls and airplanes. We also love searching for and collecting one of a kind and vintage items to use in our creations. Each item is a unique piece of art using original photography and design. Our current products are handmade jewelry, soap and photoart on canvasses.

The Provident Peacock, symbolizes our goal of providing handmade items of unique, simple beauty and grace in inexpensive and meaningful ways.

Alisyn & Steph- Spicy Designs

Once upon a twenty-fifth birthday, Spicy surprised Birthday Girl with two very unique, hip, and colorful hand-made purses. Birthday Girl instantly fell in love and encouraged Spicy to make more...but not just for her, for everyone! After months of deliberation, planning, and designing, Spicy and one of her friends were ready to launch their creative venture - Spicy Designs.

Spicy Designs specializes in hand-made personal accessories and home decor items made from funky and fresh designer fabrics. Each of our original products are specifically designed to add spice to your life, through color and flare. After all, couldn't we all benefit from a little dash of spice?

Elizabeth Estes- Button Boutique

We sell adorable pocket mirrors, button earrings, rings, bobby pins, and other button goodies. Our products are bright, fun, and extremely affordable. Most items range from 1.00 to 5.00.

Carolyn Molyneux- Cee Cee's Sewing

My stash of fabric just got to be overwhelming, so I decided to start sewing again. Right now I'm making little girl skirts, baby quilts, and wall quilts.

Lacey Peterson- Purse-onality Plus

We are a mother-daughter team who heard about these purses and figured out, on our own, how to put them together. We shop at yard sales and thrift stores for our inspiration --- Scrabble and Candy Land games and antique school books. Nancy is a professor at Utah Valley University, and Lacey is a student there... both of us, full-time. We believe you can tell a lot about someone's personality by the PURSES she carries!

Kimberly Makechnie- Kimmalee

Hi, we are Kim and Aubry, two stay-at-home moms who love to sew. We have found that little babes come with a lot of gear and a lot of messes and we try to find ways to make your baby gear and your little ones look as stylish as you are! We make car seat canopies, fluffy gathered skirts, sweet applique onesies and shirts, reversible bibs, pacifier clips, and burp cloths all from adorable designer prints that have been carefully selected to make cute and unique combinations.

Rebecca Price- Craft Room Creations

Hi! I'm Rebecca Price and I LOVE to create!! I love working in my craft room with paper, rubber stamps, ink, paint, ribbon, buttons, brads, and everything and anything I can get my hands on! I have three adorable sons and a fabulous husband who supports me in my crafty craziness! My sisters and mother also help me find inspiration and I love that we can talk "paper crafts" when we're together! I have been making cards for about ten years now and I have just recently opened up an Etsy shop and tried to share my creations with the world. (craftroomcreations.etsy.com) I am so lucky to be able to do something I love and share it with you all! Everything looks so much better in person - so come on out and see it!

Calvin Close

My name is Calvin Close, little brother to the famous artist Renette Barnett. I started painting about 10 years ago after browsing through countless art galleries and not being able to afford their prices! The more I browsed, the more I thought, "I can paint that." Thus started the budding art career of Calvin Close, father of 5, advertising salesman by profession, and bishop in between! Painting has been an ongoing love affair for me, although my wife comes first. I started out by copying other well known artist, like Maynard Dixon and LeConte Stewart. This has helped me learn technique and improve my skills as a mostly self-taught artist. Here are some of my latest works both original and studies of other artist like Maynard Dixon and LeConte Stewart. Enjoy!

Julie Kidman- My Daisy Dreams

I am a wife and mother of 5 fantastic children. After getting burned out in the business and then education fields I began my at-home business of designing gifts and accessories for those who love to buy handmade. Three years ago I started by making handbags and scripture bags. Last November I expanded into selling mixed-media jewelry and magnets. Which has mainly consisted of my glass tile pendants. I've sold over 2,000 of them worldwide and I get a kick out of selling to someone in a country that I haven't sold to before. My designs include themes such as Flowers, Love and Friends, Twilight, Motivational, Religious, Nature, Patterns, Art and Holidays. I also make custom jewelry, keychains and magnets out of photos and other requested images.

Kevin Stuflick- Profiles

My name is Kevin Stuflick. I started Profiles Art and Frame in Springville in the summer 2000. We originally started with two employees and three customers. Today we have sixteen employees and 1200 customers nation wide. Our products include all aspects of custom framing, ready made photo frames, framed mirrors, photography, and much more. What makes Profiles Art and Frame unique is our in house mill and finishing department. We make 90% of our molding from scratch milling our own designs and hand finishing each frame. Here are some examples of the framed artwork we'll have at the boutique.

Heather Gardner

Heather Zahn Gardner is a Utah based family and wedding photographer who has recently branched out into selling landscape and still life images at boutiques and in her etsy shop. Things that inspire her are fairies, gnomes, old trucks, antiques, angels, and any kind of funky junk. She is the official photographer for the Utah Autism Coalition and a group called Fire and Ice for fans of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. Her favorite subjects are newborns and brides.

Debbie Thompson- Tom Designs

Hello, my name is Debbie Thompson. I'm an elementary art teacher by day and a jewelry maker by night! I mostly make bright, bold, and vintage inspired jewelry with antiqued metals and flowers. I also make custom jewelry for weddings or special occasions. I've been making jewelry for the four years and love being able to use my creative side with both my jobs!

Tina Kargis- Emmie Cakes

I am a stay at home mom to four great, funny and cute kids. We love to spend time together traveling to fun places and playing wherever and whenever we can. I love to entertain and plan fun unique parties. I have always loved to scrapbook (or at least buy scrapbook stuff) and create new and fun things for my home and family. I am always looking for a way to justify buying great scrapbooking supplies and that is when I came up with my idea for Emmie Cakes. I started by making a banner for my daughters birthday and loved it so much I made another and another and it just snowballed from there. I then realized that I could sell them on my blog and hence www.myemmiecakes.blogspot.com was created. Emmie Cakes is my creative outlet and hope that you will enjoy the amazing products.

Trista Millette- Cupcake Chic

We are a mother daughter company in Springville, Utah and we are crazy about cupcakes. We believe that cupcakes are the perfect guilt free portion of cake and a delicious treat. We have traveled across the country looking for the tastiest cupcake. Finally in the Summer of 2007 we decided to make our own. Our goal was, and still is, to take the finest ingredients and make the best tasting cupcakes ever! We hope our passion for cupcakes will provide you with an outstanding gourmet treat and ignite a passion in you for cupcakes as well!

Monica Dennis- MD Sparks

I started making jewelry for myself and friends a little over a year ago. Since then, I've set up an Etsy shop and have sold several pieces online and in various craft fairs. I try to keep my prices reasonable while still providing quality because I am accustomed to the financial woes of student life. :)

Sarah Fears- My Girl Designs

After the first project I completed sewing with my mom I was hooked on sewing. I love to try new things and make fun things out of fabric. A few years ago I started making handbags and I love the outcome of each bag. I love the personality each bag has to match their owner. They are fun, bright, sassy, cute, and conservative! They are made with 100% cotton for fashion and heavy weight fabric for sturdiness. Perfect for all ages and all occasions. Handbag, diaper bag, scripture bag, book bag. The minky blankets are 100% Minky fabric which is the softest fabric you will ever touch! Perfect for any age to cuddle with. The bumper pads are what I make up with my scrap Minky fabric and are super cute and soft for any nursery room!

Emily Sparks

I got my BFA from BYU in studio arts. I currently enjoy playing with my 1 year old daughter and creating handmade goods for my home, family and etsy shop.

Kendahl Andrade- Pomegranate & Pink

I really love the look of bows and flower clips, but am not willing to pay what they are selling them for in stores, so I started making my own. It became somewhat of an obsession, and it got to a point where I needed to sell them to make space for all the new bows and clips! I was laid off at the beginning of the year, so this is what I fill my time with now.

There is nothing more I love than seeing the joy on a girl's face while she dances around in her new tutu, or is wearing one of my clips that she loves. And, I love doing it for a lot cheaper than you can get it anywhere else!

Ann Gardner

Ann has studied art all of her life in all. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Art from WSU and has worked in every realm of the art world. Just out of college, Ann thought that she would make herself in to a oil painter and show in big name galleries. Her plans quickly changed when she became a mother. Her style immediately changed from serious to fun, light, and cheery. She now shows in galleries and art boutiques and does custom paintings for clients. She is currently working on illustrating a few more books...coming soon!

Kitty Olson - Fahrenheit 350°

Kitty is a fun, young chef who learned the art of scratch made baking from her Grandmother. Using her talents, and her Grandmother's recipes, she has created Fahrenheit 350° selling products such as, Old Fashioned Sweet Logs: A creamy candy center wrapped up with buttery caramel and pecans, and Sweet Sauce: A tasty concoction perfect for cookies, ice cream, or cakes. A treat from Fahrenheit 350° is like settling down to read your favorite book-you just can't get enough!

Laura Barnett- Sweet & Simple Studios

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember. I've always taken art in school and was a fine art major in College. It's what I love to do- in what ever form that takes. I've also studied photography and graphic design and love to knit, crochet and do crafts. Even baking is an artistic outlet for me! My style is constantly evolving as I experiment and learn more every day.

Sweet & Simple Studios is my first attempt at branding myself as an artist and I'm looking forward to where it takes me! Most of my work is either digital prints (cards and pictures) or acrylic paintings. I love color and simplicity and I think that shows in my artwork and in my life. I'm a mother of 2 with one on the way and so far that's been my favorite, and most important, work.

(the 2 paintings with holes in them are meant to be hung with ribbon)

Daisy Hill- Mogen Creative

It all started with doodling in class when I was 6.

Doodling turned to drawing, drawing turned to art and design classes, which eventually bloomed into my little Business:

Mogen Creative. Named in honor of my daughter, Imogen, as she was the inspiration behind my new series of paintings focusing on family life. I leave the subjects faces blank so the viewer can project their loved ones faces and expressions, rather than be stuck with the features I would have drawn.

At the boutique you will find a few of my original oil paintings, lots of prints, and coupons for custom digital illustrations (like my caricature).

Hope to see you there.
